Hunting Conditions & Terms of Business
1. Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. The balance is payable before departure from the hunting lodges.

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future hunt under certain conditions.

Payment methods include bank transfers, cash, or pre-approved credit cards.

Trophy fees must be settled before departure, based on the animals hunted or wounded.
2. Hunting Regulations

All hunts are conducted in accordance with South African hunting laws and ethical fair-chase principles.

A professional hunter (PH) will guide all hunts, and their decisions on safety and ethics are final.

Only legally permitted weapons may be used. Firearm import permits must be arranged in advance.

Wounded animals are considered hunted and payable in full. A reasonable effort will be made to track and recover them.
3. Trophy Fees & Conservation Levies

Trophy fees apply per animal hunted or wounded and are subject to change without notice.

A conservation levy may be applicable, supporting anti-poaching and habitat preservation efforts.

All trophy handling, including skinning, salting, and field preparation, is included in the package.
4. Liability & Insurance

African Hunting Safaris and its staff accept no liability for accidents, injuries, illnesses, loss, or damage to personal property.

Clients must have adequate travel, medical, and evacuation insurance before arrival.

Hunters participate at their own risk, and safety briefings must be followed at all times.
5. Firearm & Ammunition Regulations

Clients must obtain a temporary firearm import permit before arrival.

Only approved calibers and ammunition are allowed based on species and legal requirements.

No automatic or semi-automatic weapons are permitted for hunting.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations made 90+ days before arrival may be eligible for rescheduling.

Cancellations within 90 days of the hunt result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Rescheduled hunts are subject to availability and possible rate adjustments.
7. General Lodge Rules
-
All clients must respect the rules of the hunting lodges, including firearm safety and conservation guidelines.

No hunting is allowed under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
Ethical and humane hunting practices must be followed at all times.
8. Export & Taxidermy
-
Trophy processing and taxidermy services are available through trusted partners.
-
Export permits and shipping costs are the responsibility of the client and must comply with CITES and South African export laws.
By booking a hunt with African Hunting Safaris, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.
